The village government consists of a duly elected Mayor, and six Trustees. We have a village clerk, treasurer, attorney, engineer, maintenance staff, two crossing guards and a building inspector. Shabbona is improving upon its already rich history, and the village government is constantly seeking ways to accommodate growth and welcomes new commercial and industrial development.

The Village Board meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m at 206 S. Blackhawk Street in the village maintenance building.
